Phil Carmen (born Herbert Hofmann, February 14, 1953 in Montreal, Quebec) is a Swiss musician and producer of Canadian heritage. Carmen grew up in Frankfurt am Main, Germany and in Lucerne, Switzerland. In Lucerne, he went to the Conservatory, but later studied bookkeeping. In 1975, he decided to turn to music. With bassist Mike Thompson (born Marcel Galuzzi), he founded the duo Carmen & Thompson, playing especially country music.

Christophe Rousset's collection of overtures to 17 of Rameau's operas and opéra-ballets, played by his original instrument ensemble Les Talens Lyriques, won a 1998 Gramophone award for best Baroque non-vocal CD, and it's easy to hear why this outstanding performance was recognized. The ensemble plays with unflagging liveliness and brilliant, clean tone. The rhythmic vitality Rousset coaxes from his players is toe-tappingly engaging; at the same time, he maintains a fluidity that avoids metronomic rigidity. The tempos he takes sometimes have a breathtaking fleetness that leaves the listener marveling at the players' virtuosity. The overtures are mostly brief, usually four or five minutes long, but they each contain a world of volatility and drama. Many of them are wonderfully eccentric, with startling juxtapositions and exotic orchestral combinations that keep them from ever settling into any kind of easy predictability.

Released in May 1989, it was recorded in Los Angeles, mixed in Buckinghamshire in England, and is loosely based around the theme of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The album reached #10 on the U.S. Billboard albums charts, propelled by the hit single, "Rooms on Fire" (No.16), and achieved platinum status for selling in excess of 1,000,000 units. The album reached #3 in the UK and was certified gold there for sales in excess of 100,000 units, and is Nicks' highest charting album to date in various European countries including Germany, The Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

UNTITLED is the second album by the American pop rock duo The Rembrandts, released in 1992 on East West Records. Two songs in this CD were in the top 10 that winter: "Johnny, Have You Seen Her?" and "Chase the Clouds Away". The former peaked at No. 54 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, but unlike the duo's previous and subsequent albums, Untitled failed to chart in the U.S.
