Grapefruit Moon: The Songs of Tom Waits is Southside's tribute to one of his favorite songwriters, but also a pet sound: big band music. The idea to marry the brassy, ballsy sound of a big band to Tom Waits' cinematic, character-driven songs has been sitting in the back of Southside's mind for sometime.

Anybody who was a little dismayed by the pop inclinations of The Game would have been totally distressed by Queen's 1982 follow-up, Hot Space, an unabashed pop and dance album. The band that once proudly proclaimed not to use synthesizers on their albums has suddenly, dramatically reversed course, devoting the entire first side of the album to robotic, new wave dance-pop, all driven by drum machines and colored by keyboards, with Brian May's guitar coming in as flavor only on occasion…

Hailing from Connecticut, After The Fall have been around since the late 1980's, and their line-up consists of Mark Benson (vocals,guitars), Ken Archer (keyboards), Jeff Brewer (bass) and Rich Kornacki (drums,percussion). The Band plays in a modern progressive style that is predominantly art rock but combines elements of symphonic and neo with a tinge of prog metal, yet pays homage to the greats of the past. If you like long tracks with wonderful vocals and lyrics, tasty and muscular guitar work, lots of vintage keyboards, sinewy bass playing and complex, nimble drum work, After The Fall is definitely the band for you.

ESSENTIAL MONTREUX is a special edition, five CD box-set, by Northern Irish, blues rock guitarist and singer, Gary Moore. The box-set features five out of the six performances Gary Moore made at the Montreux Jazz Festival. His live performances at Montreux that feature in this box-set are Live at Montreux 1990, 1995, 1997, 1999 and 2001.
