Former member of Con Funk Shun is back with fifth solo album. This time on the Thump label entitled, "Are We Cool". Cooper has enjoyed considerable success as a solo artist and this release is no exception. The veteran soul singer doesn't disappoint here. Funk lovers will also hear that famous Con Funk Shun horn section that made them mainstays on the R&B charts all through the late 70's and 80's. On the initial listen a stand out track will be hard to pick since there are so many, but 'Butter Luv' the lead off track, 'Are We Cool', 'Remember L.O.V.E.', 'Marry Me Again', & 'Club Feenz', highlight Cooper's creative R&B genius. Very cool album. Yes Coop....we are very cool.

n one regard, Queen II does indeed provide more of the same thing as on the band's debut. Certainly, of all the other albums in Queen's catalog it bears the closest resemblance to its immediate predecessor, particularly in its lean, hard attack and in how it has only one song that is well-known to listeners outside of their hardcore cult: in this case, it's "Seven Seas of Rhye," which is itself more elliptical than "Keep Yourself Alive," the big song from the debut…

Israeli band Realeaf was formed in May 2006 and they self-released their first album, "Possibly Not" in 2007. The band's music falls in the space-rock terrain with some references to Pink Floyd but also to Porcupine Tree ("The Sky Moves Sideways" to "Signify" era). The music is rich and varied in sound as each member plays several instruments.

A New Beginning is strong and powerful, with memorable melodies and the vocals of German Pascual, who has continued to show he is one of the finest vocalists in heavy metal. With tonality along the lines of Dio, Rob Rock and slight hints at David Coverdale.
