Les Marquises is Jean-Sébastien Nouveau’s grand ensemble project, featuring artists like Matt Elliott of The Third Eye Foundation and Agathe Max among many others. Much like his diverse and ample résumé (which includes esteemed leading lights such as Dave Holland, Chris Potter, Ravi Coltrane, José James, Somi, and Patricia Barber, among others), this album sees Smith fusing his original modern jazz compositions with R&B, pop, and hip-hop.

Originally known as Aura, Via Lumini were formed in Brazil by a quintet of young musicians interested in reviving the traditional sounds of seventies progressive music in South America. Though quite young at the time, the band managed to secure a recording contract with PRW and released their lengthy debut album in 1991. The band's sound shows obvious influences from a variety of classic progressive groups, among them Genesis (vocals, dramatics), Yes (keyboards), and Camel (overall tenor). The Gray Vines are a New Jersey based duo who embrace the strange and are putting their own post-modern spin on 90’s rock-n-roll.

Volcano is the second studio album by English psychedelic rock band Temples, released on 3 March 2017 by Heavenly Records. The album was recorded at their home studio, and is self-produced. Temples member James Bagshaw described the album as being "a result of implementing a load of things that we didn't know about the first time around [on Sun Structures]".

Depeche Mode returned in February with the snarling single "Where's The Revolution," which feels pretty important in this political climate. The song's chorus is a call to arms: “Where’s the revolution / Come on people you’re letting me down.” The group is releasing a remix EP of the single on March 3, which will include a rework of the track by shoegaze rockers Autolux, which is premiering on The FADER today.
