This is the first duet album released by drummer Ferenc Nmeth and Valancian saxophonist Javier Vercher. They both share a musical vision which abounds in wide open possibilities of spontaneous improvisation with beautifull melodies and songs. Vercher is a young, prodigiously gifted saxophonist with powerful free playing that amazingly flows in this recording. Nemeth, a player of consummate subtlety and tasted, is a product of the jazz hotbed of Keszthely, Hungary.

More than two decades into a career that's always avoided the predictable path, the Mavericks – whose Tex-Mex twang, Cuban-influenced country and retro rock made them unlikely stars in the mid-Nineties and critical darlings during later years – turn another corner with the new album Brand New Day. The record arrives March 31st, marking the group's first time releasing new material on their own label, Mono Mundo Recordings.

By the time David Lindley made his move to a solo career, he was already a legend. Having toured and recorded with such names as Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, and Crosby & Nash, his reputation as a multi-instrumentalist (on almost any stringed instrument) was awesome. Lindley scored a contract with Elektra Records and put together an excellent band that was able to keep up with his eclectic vision. Combining blues, rock & roll, Cajun, Zydeco, Middle Eastern music, and other elements, his debut album is an absolute joy.

Nominated for Music Nova Scotia's 2016 Digital Artist of the Year, Makayla Lynn has 4 albums under her belt, including the award winning album "Daydream", followed up by "On a Dare and a Prayer" (yet to be released). Recorded in Nashville, TN and released in June 2014, "Daydream" was nominated for ECMA Country Album of the Year, ECMA Rising Star of the Year, IMEA Country Album of the Year as well as Music Nova Scotia's Country Recording of the Year. A ground breaking project for such a young artist, the album helped pave the way for Makayla Lynn as she ventures into the next steps in what is promising to be a very long career. Several of the songs from "Daydream" have landed Makayla nods in songwriting contests including being named a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting and Unsigned Only Contests, and a regional finalist in CBC's Searchlight Contest. "Daydream" has quickly turned into something unprecedented for such a young East Coast musician and we are confident that "On a Dare and a Prayer" will far surpass the debut.
