The style still varies between happiness and sorrow, heavy and soft, melodic and grim. For this record, the band decided to only use German lyrics on the new album, which gives EQUILIBRIUM uniqueness in the Folk/Pagan Metal scene!

    In 2001, a band was formed in Bavaria, Germany. First, only for one gig, but after the audience was left stunned and begging, the band decided to continue. They chose the name EQUILIBRIUM and released a Demo in 2003. This Demo not only sold like hell but also brought the band a deal with Black Attakk. The collabaration resulted in the amazing debut album "Turis Fratyr", combining Folk Metal with a blend of Pagan and Black Metal. After the release of the album and the good response of fans and the media likewise, the band played several tours and festival gigs (Summer Breeze, Wacken), establishing a huge fanbase all around europe – even though all of the lyrics were in German!

    FuneraliuM (Funeral + Valium) was founded in June 2003 by Marquis from Ataraxie who wanted to express his own vision about extreme doom. At that time, his most influential bands were Bethlehem, Saint Vitus, Black Sabbath, Cathedral, Abruptum and Burning Witch…. Berserk (also member of Ataraxie) joined Funeralium soon after with Ys and Toxine from Heol Telwen who were also enthusiastic about that project… Funeralium describes their style as "ultra sick doom" i.e. raw extreme doom with bleak atmospheres, torturous vokills and lots of old school metal elements.

    Arguably the hottest of the '70s Ohio funk bands, Slave had a great run in the late '70s and early '80s. Trumpeter Steve Washington formed the group in Dayton in 1975. Vocalist Floyd Miller teamed with Tom Lockett Jr, Charlie Bradley, Mark Adams, Mark Hicks, Danny Webster, Orion Wilhoite, Curt Jones, and Tim Dozier. Vocalists Steve Arrington and Starleana Young came aboard in 1978, with Arrington ultimately becoming lead vocalist. Their first big hit was the thumping single "Slide" in 1977 for Cotillion; they remained with that label until 1984. Their best tracks were lyrically simple and at times silly, but the arrangements and rhythms were intense and hypnotic. Other Top Ten R&B hits were "Just a Touch of Love" in 1979, "Watching You" in 1980, and "Snap Shot" in 1981.

    In 1757 the young Catalan composer Antonio Soler was appointed to a distinguished positin at the Escorial, the palace of the Spanish Court. The keyboard sonatas he wrote there, many specifically for the son of King Carlos III, Don Gabriel, constitute his best known achievement as a composer. The sonatas heard on this fifth volume once again reflect the influence of Domenico Scarlatti and the latest central European models but Sonata No. 57 also draws inspiration from Spanish folk music while Sonata No. 61 ends with use of the Scotch snap rhythm.
