Prog Rock band from the Netherlands. Another one of these lost-in-time Dutch Neo Prog bands, PTS were coming probably from the Zwolle area of The Netherlands with an original line-up of drummer Le Coq, bassist Marco Kerssies, keyboardist Simon Veenhius and guitarist Ron Van Kruistum. This formation would record the band's first album ''Nightlines'' in 1992, released privately by PTS. While not particularly convincing, it was good enough for the management of the legendary SI label to sign the group. Second album ''Tides'' comes out in 1994, now with Marco de Haan in the place of Le Coq. De Haan was actually the man behind the lyrics of PTS' first album. As SI went bankrupt around mid-90's, PTS were forced to return back to their private releases, so that's what happened with the band's third album ''Campaign'' in 1996.

Joseph Boismortier (1689-1755) may be well represented on disc but it’s fair to say that his name rarely sets the pulse truly racing. In fact, although on the face of it he shares a huge amount in common with his German contemporary Georg Philipp Telemann, it’s hard to picture a world in which a Boismortier anniversary would be celebrated with as much enthusiasm as Telemann’s 250th is currently being.

Hille Perl is widely regarded as one of the leading viola da gambists in the world. Because of the prominence of her instrument in the Baroque era, her repertory is rich in works from that period, with the names, J.S. Bach, Telemann, Marin Marais, Sainte-Colombe, and other 17th and 18th century composers headlining her concert programs and recordings. Perl also plays the treble viol, the seven-string bass viol, Baroque guitar, Lirone, and Xarana.

One of rock's more elaborate, beguiling and strangely rewarding concept albums, this double-vinyl classic stars the ever-theatrical Peter Gabriel as Rael, a Puerto Rican street punk who descends into the New York underground to experience a series of surreal adventures. ("It seemed that prancing around in fairyland was rapidly becoming obsolete," Gabriel explained to his biographer.) Bassist Mike Rutherford, however, wanted to base the band's last album with Gabriel, who'd announced his intention to leave Genesis, on Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince.
