    This album was Two Hearts first album and my personal favorite. I didn't hear about Two Hearts until their second album came out. I saw them in the Seattle area twice in concert when I was in high school. They have awesome music. Two Hearts are Michael & Carrie Hodge. Carrie primarily sings and Michael plays. He sings from time to time but Carrie dose most of the singing. Carrie has got one of the most amazing voices ever. She is awesome. Carrie is no stranger to music. She released her first album back in the 80's on Motown records as a self titled album. Her big hit "Uh Uh, No, No Casual Sex" earned her guest appearances on a number of TV shows including "Soul Train" where she performed the song. You can see the video as well as the official music video on youtube. In the early 90's, after Michael & Carrie were married, they joined Star Song's label and became Two Hearts.

    Good early '80s trio session with pianist Horace Parlan working alongside bassist Reggie Johnson and drummer Alvin Queen. The material, mostly standards with some originals and ballads, isn't overly ambitious, but Parlan's dense, strong blues-influenced solos and good interaction among the three principals keeps things moving.

    The Rosenberg Trio is a Dutch jazz band consisting of lead guitarist Stochelo Rosenberg, rhythm guitarist Nous'che Rosenberg and bassist Nonnie Rosenberg. The band is influenced by Django Reinhardt, the gypsy jazz guitarist of the 1930s. The group's first album was Seresta in 1989. Notable events include the release in 2010 of Djangologists a DVD featuring a recording tribute to Django Reinhardt, and the 1992 live album The Rosenberg Trio: Live at the North Sea Jazz Festival, which captured the trio at an eclectic, youthful high point. There is no exact date before 1989 when the Rosenberg Trio began playing under that name.

    "The Way We Were" is the fifteenth studio album recorded by American vocalist Barbra Streisand. It was released on January 1, 1974 by Columbia Records. The record was compiled immediately following the commercial success of lead single "The Way We Were". A majority of the material on the album was meant for the singer's unreleased project The Singer while other songs included were previously released in prior years. Following the distribution of the soundtrack for the 1973 film of the same name, Columbia added a caption to Streisand's LP (Featuring the Hit Single "The Way We Were" and "All in Love Is Fair") in order to minimize confusion between the two albums.

    And now for something completely different…. This is just about the farthest reaches of jazz I can go. Not really free jazz, but a eclectic cross of jazz, electronica and no wave, as the label implies. This disc is mesmerizing in places and damn near danceable in others. The fact that this was performed live only adds to my fascination. It was Bang's presence that drew me to this record. His contributions are in no small part why I dig it. But truly his is but one facet of one of these recordings where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. C'mon, give it a try, I dare you!
