Confess is a hard rock/heavy metal band from Stockholm, Sweden with influences of the 80's. In late 2008 the lead singer John Elliot formed the band and soon Samael would join the band as the drummer. The band started to write their own material right away and a couple of shows around Sweden were immediately on the schedule. The band released a demo in 2010 and the responses were really good. Denver joined on guitar and will be writing on future releases. Confess went into the studio in early 2010 to record a couple of new demos. During the recording process Confess got signed by an American based label called Sliptrick Records…

Jason Eckardt steps forward with this Mode release as a fearless young proponent of modernism in all its complexity, a shining alternative to the prevalent eclecticism of our time. His Ensemble 21, formed in 1993, deserves acclaim as well, a unit seemingly out of step with the American musical landscape, and not surprisingly pursuing collaborations with Boulez's IRCAM and other European composers and musicians.

Keeping their anonymity, Syrinx are comprised of four musicians playing acoustic guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, drums and occasional flute. Syrinx normally is a nymph who works in the world of sound creation. As musicians, they are obviously influenced by all sort of music. The musical construction of Syrinx is called "Metamorphic Music" lending within a different texture to the complex arrangements. An excellent instrumental band between Priam and Taal, but more melodic.

Deep Green was a media event featuring ambient, dub and transglobal/world music, originating from the renowned ‘Organic Tea Garden’ in ‘The Green Futures Field’ at ‘Glastonbury Festival’, ‘The Kingston Green Fair’, and the ‘Big Green Gathering’. This CD was digitally mixed and edited at Dat Studios by Solar Quest using only the sun as a power source. The original sessions for the five Solar Quest tracks (previously unreleased) on this CD were also recorded using solar power. Deep Green worked closely with the visionary American painter Alex Grey and the jacket from this CD features a detail from his celebrated painting ‘Praying’, which is also the cover of Greys acclaimed book ‘Sacred Mirrors’.

This excellent first volume in what promises to be a two-disc collection of Poulenc's complete chamber music offers performances that compare favorably with the best available. All of the musicians are superb, but several deserve special mention. Alexandre Tharaud plays Poulenc's piano parts with great flair, wit, and a true feeling for the music's manic shifts from raucous high spirits to nostalgia and melancholy. Since all of these works feature the piano, the importance of his contribution can't be overestimated.
