It was recorded over two nights (July 27–28, 2001) at the Moore Theatre in Seattle, Washington. On the CD the tracks were collected in suites, which represent different moments of the band production and include a large section of the concept album Operation: Mindcrime.

The most popular exponent of the classic New Orleans R&B sound, Fats Domino sold more records than any other black rock & roll star of the 1950s. His relaxed, lolling boogie-woogie piano style and easygoing, warm vocals anchored a long series of national hits from the mid-'50s to the early '60s. Through it all, his basic approach rarely changed. He may not have been one of early rock's most charismatic, innovative, or threatening figures, but he was certainly one of its most consistent.

Jamie Prado is a producer from LA on whom you should keep an eye. He has just released a new single called “Stay True”. Starting with a sweet piano melody, the song evolves into a nice groove, perfectly combined with TWYLA vocals. Nu-disco lovers, you’ll love these sunsets and poolside vibes! As the press release says “Summer isn’t a season, it’s a state of mind”.

Going well beyond mere historical interest, this album unveils the charms of a repertoire that delighted Parisian concert halls and salons throughout the 19th century. It demonstrates how the viola finally emerged from the violin’s shadow thanks to virtuoso playing, now resuscitated by the talent of Antoine Tamestit and Cédric Tiberghien in pieces which offer much more than the exquisite languors of bel canto.

Digitally remastered edition of this 1984 album from the funk maestros. Out of Control was recorded two years after the duo's initial split. The album was produced by Leon Sylvers. If you are a funk lover, you will no doubt remember George and Louis as the two brothers who got you out on the dance floor with a string of hits for A&M. Together, The Brothers Johnson sold upwards of 10 million records in six years including mega sales on albums like Look Out For No. 1 and Right On Time. Starting out as protégés of mega-producer Quincy Jones, the duo frequently toured the States to sell-out auditoriums and it seemed they could do no wrong for the significant fan-following they had created on both sides of the Atlantic.

"Gaucho" is the seventh studio album by the American Jazz rock band Steely Dan, released in 1980. The sessions for Gaucho represented the peak of Steely Dan's recording studio perfectionism and obsessive recording technique. To record the album, the band used at least 42 different musicians, spent over a year in the studio, and far exceeded the original monetary advance given to the band by their record label.

Addicted To Trouble is called Dr. Will's new and hitherto most rocking work. It's about driving, drinking too much, of course women, touring life, sex, drugs & rock 'n' roll, lots of fun and of course anger. DR. WILL means what he says. Rock 'n' Roll. No keyboards, no wind instruments. Just electric guitars, rough riffs, hard drums and girls in the back. On his new album, Dr. Will wants to play all the drums himself, and he also plays a Cereal Box Guitar, a three-time unicum, for Doctor's Orders and Time Is Tight. From all this, the Doc cooks his spells of rock, roots, blues, soul and a strong portion of crackedness. Earthy and raised. A shot of Rolling Stones, a pinch of Seasick Steve, a spoon of Chuck Berry, a knife tip Jon Spencer, and a giant dredge full of humor.

In the Land of Grey and Pink is an album by progressive rock band Caravan, released in 1971. According to Allmusic, "it is considered by many to be the pinnacle release from Caravan." It has remained in the catalogue ever since its original release in 1971. Along with Soft Machine, Caravan were a leading exponent of what became known as "the Canterbury sound" – a concoction of styles including jazz, classical and traditional English influences. In the Q and Mojo Classic Special Edition Pink Floyd & The Story of Prog Rock, the album came No. 19 in its list of "40 Cosmic Rock Albums".

On a copy of a 1730 Cristofori-Ferrini Pianoforte Linda Nicholson demonstrates the qualities of these earliest of pianofortes. The repertoire, sonatas from Platti, Paradisi et al., all composed between 1720-1754, is perfect for this instrument, whose sound is much closer to the harpsichord than the later pianofortes, despite its dynamic abilities.

    Label: Western Vinyl

Grooms' Exit Index combines the abandon of pop with the unease of American life in 2017, cloaking its hooks in a clamor of samples and distortion, its agitation expressed in its dream-poetry lyrics. The album as a whole is a study in contrasts-light meeting dark, amplifier fuzz surrounding big melodies, sampled friction squaring off with fluidly played basslines. Grooms laid down the skeleton tracks for Exit Index, the Brooklyn band's first album since 2015's Comb the Feelings Through Your Hair, at the storied New York recording studio The Magic Shop-the last band to record there before its closure in March 2016. The heavy distortion on the group's guitars helps add to the gloom as well; Johnson, who has co-owned the Brooklyn pedal company Death By Audio Effects since 2008, made a limited-edition distortion pedal to celebrate the album's release. "There's a lot of tremolo on Exit Index," he says, "so I made a fucked-up-sounding trem." Collin Dupuis (Angel Olsen, Lana Del Rey) mixed the album, adding a few finishing touches to intros and song structures.

On October 20th, 2017, William Ryan Fritch returns with his brand new full-length album on Lost Tribe Sound, a hard-fought and highly personal one, entitled, ’Behind The Pale.’ It is a stirring and profoundly beautiful rendering of a very trying time in Fritch’s life, one filled with uncertainty, vulnerability, hope and strained resolve. It’s the kind of narrative that outside explanations often make light of, become too superfluous with, or fall short of giving true meaning to. Like all good art, it does its best to translate complex, abstract emotions into palpable and compelling expression. This album, given Fritch's vast and varied musical talents, evades easy stylistic and genre classification; so we’d prefer to set the scene with words from Fritch himself.

By the artist’s own admission, Spill Kid, the new album from Harley Alexander, can be consumed and processed as a hopefully-useful document of “processing sexual-trauma” and “the space that opens up after the crying, despair, rage, and self hatred” or simply as a nice soundtrack to having a bath. While these polar-opposites might not make too much sense on paper, the significance of both of these endorsements is readily apparent when investigating Alexander’s latest work; an eight-track collection that drifts beautifully while also feeling weighted by a palpably sombre sense of circumstance and experience.

Homecoming. It is hardly surprising that several jazz compositions are known by this name. Especially for the continuously travelling improvisers, those post-modern nomads, to return home to their families is something he/she is longing for during the continuous loop of aeroplane-hotel-stage-aeroplane (even if he/she is longing to be back on the road after a few days at home…). Home can mean many different things: for some it is being on stage, for others it is an imaginary place, only to be found in their dreams. However, you may also associate homecoming with Vince Mendoza’s return to his acknowledged first love, jazz. Or his reunion with the orchestra he feels deeply connected with for already more than two decades, the WDR Big Band. Maybe the word makes you think of the happy opportunity to once again write your own music. The word has all of these and many more meanings, all of them are coming together in this particular homecoming.

When Charles de Brosses, a judge and writer from Dijon, goes to Italy in 1739-1740, he hopes to find History of the Roman Republic, a legendary text written by Salluste, in the first century B.C. but lost since antiquity. His collection will not bear fruit, but in the letters he writes to his friends during his voyage, he gives us the most living portrait of the Italy of his time. Curious about everything, he doesn't omit going to Venice and seeing for himself how the ''nation is crazy'' about music: There are hardly no evenings without an academy somewhere; people rush…to listen with as much enthusiasm as if it were the first time. Here, there is a kind of music that does not exist in France…Long concertos without solo violin.
