    Electronic | 00:58:20 | MP3, 320 kbps | 133,54 MB
    Label: Ondulé Recordings

Having built his reputation via a string of dusty deep house EPs for Ondule Recordings, Hatelate is ready to unfurl his debut album. Predictably, it's something of a slow-burn delight, with the talented French producer supplementing his usual deep, dreamy, jazz-flecked and sample-heavy deep house workouts with a few pleasant surprises. These include the driving, funk-fuelled peak-time stomp of gritty bumper "Feeling Groove", the smoky slow jam "Introduction D'Acid Jazz", the superior, loopy disco-house thump of "Wanna Dance With Me" and the hybrid instrumental hip-hop/slow house head-nod of "Under Da Soul (Sunset Mix)". Of the numerous high-grade deep house workouts present, it's the epic, Chez Damier style "Chicago" that stands out.

1989 saw the release of Gold For Iron, which was the most lavish pop album to date by Carlos Peron. The album is an acute display of his stylistic divergence and variety. The spectrum ranges from the legendary Motorman to more subtle pop songs (such as The Spanish Fly, enriched with spoken word samples by Salvador Dali), influences from the Far East (Matin Indien), straight and demanding dance tracks (such as Los Alamos sung by Anthony More) and the industrial finale that resembles a symphony, (consisting of The Sketch and The Thrash), Gold For Iron can hardly be surpassed in its vibrancy and wealth of ideas.

Berlin duo The/Das are to release their sophomore album, Exit Strategies, on Life And Death in September 2017. The absorbing 12 track album is the result of a period of searching that finds the new line-up of Fabian Fenk and Philipp Koller combining multiple ideas, layers, fragments and sounds. It makes for a soothing and escapist 60 minute listen that works as well at home, on headphones, as it does loud in the club.

The ninth studio album from Spoken, "IX is full of songs about love, grace, confusion, and overcoming the obstacles we all face in life. This record has something to offer to anyone who enjoys music. There are songs with aggressive vocals, clean vocals, heavy guitar parts, melodic guitar parts, fast drums, feel drums, and everything in between". - Matt Baird. Spoken has shared the stage with a formidable list of industry heavyweights, including Volbeat, 10 Years, Demon Hunter, Brian "Head" Welch, and Red. Fans of the band are well-versed in the charisma of Baird, as well as the sonic devastation that emanates from his supporting cast, and their live prowess has played a huge role in sustaining their momentum over the years.

Kenneth Kapstad’s June 2016 departure from Motorpsycho left the remaining psychos Hans Magnus Ryan and Bent Sæther fending for themselves. An almost ten-year ride was over, and things were again changing in the Psychoverse. After a fall busy at the Trøndelag teater, writing and performing the Begynnelser music live for 40 performances, the search for a replacement started, and by December 2016 Tomas Järmyr had become the new drummer in Motorpsycho. The fit was natural, and it didn’t take more than a couple of rehearsals for the old-timers Snah and Bent to figure this out: the chemistry was there from the get go, and by mid-January enough new material was ready for the band to start contemplating recording.

Parallels is the fourth full album released under Jason Chung’s distinctive moniker, Nosaj Thing. Masterfully dimensional, Parallels represents the acclaimed Los Angeles-based electronic producer/composer/performer’s most diverse, vital work yet. As such, Chung sees Parallels represents a kind of redemptive rebirth. The album’s compellingly elusive, uncategorizable sonics developed out of what he terms a personal & musical “identity crisis.”

    Label: Ki Records

Electronic/techno producer Christian Löffler specializes in emotive, melancholic music that feels isolated yet strangely relatable. Löffler started taking an interest in music at age 14, although instead of picking up a guitar, as his friends did, he dove straight into programming and arranging music on his computer. A lot of his sound is owed to the area he was brought up in, and where he spends most of his time: the Darß peninsula in Germany.

The third album by Milwaukee jazz/pop chanteuse Roxi Copland delivers an unlikely mélange of vulnerability, self-refection, street savvy, humor and sultriness that works better than the combination might at first indicate. Her sultriness tends to inform most every other effect she’s going for, considering the breathy alto fronting her own piano work and the small combo behind her.

Since his debut release in 2008, Matt Preston aka Phaeleh has developed an inimitable style of cinematic electronic music, which floats between the shifting tempos and timbres of dubstep, garage, electronica and house music. Following the release of the ambient albums ‘Somnus’ (2014) and ‘Illusion of the Tale’ (2016), Phaeleh drops his first beat-driven long player since ‘Tides’ (2013).

Zebra is the eighth studio album by the electronica Swiss band Yello. The record was released on 17 October 1994 through 4th & B'way and Mercury labels. By the 1990s, Yello was still churning out a number of albums; though the experimental synth effects had long become passé and Yello was becoming more mainstream, Blank and Meier continued to find success throughout the world, even though U.S. success was limited to the dancefloor. 1994's Zebra found Yello continuing with its signature sound of combining Latin rhythms, Meier's distinctive vocal approach, and contemporary dancefloor tastes. Yello began to incorporate house music into its sound; the energetic single "Do It" exemplifies this approach. Yello's sense of humor is still intact on Zebra, especially on the faux-Latin-jazz tune "How How." "Tremendous Pain" and "Move Dance Be Born" are also effective dancefloor fillers.

From the basements of UVA’s frat houses to the main stages at venues throughout the East Coast, the Company has broken out of the college bubble and into a world that loves to groove to a great live show. The band was founded in the early months of 2013 by guitarist/vocalist Louis Smith and saxophonist Andrew Drehoff. The duo had been playing together for some time in the greater Virginia Beach area, joined by a rotation of talented musicians who performed behind Louis as the Louis Smith Band. After moving to Charlottesville in late 2012 to attend the University of Virginia, the pair began putting together a group of student musicians, adding Brian Roy on bass/vocals and Ryan Wood on drums/percussion in early 2013. Since then, the band has added Andrew King on keyboards, Ben Laderberg on the electric guitar, and Jake Vanaman on saxophone.
