Ronald Jenkees is an American composer and musician, best known for his YouTube keyboard performances. His YouTube videos have been viewed (in total) over 75 million times. Jenkees has thus far released four independent albums: the eponymous album Ronald Jenkees (2007), Disorganized Fun (2009), Days Away (2012), and Alpha Numeric (2014). CD #5 here has some slightly different flavors, but is still more of the same energetic & emotional soundscape / adventures that Jenkess is so gifted at crafting. The songs are unmistakably RJ, but as always, his songs never sink into the indistinguishable mish-mash of tracks that plague many mediocre electronic releases. None of that here. I suppose it's conceivable that a more enjoyable electronic album will drop this year, but I won't be holding my breath.

After some cryptic teasing on social networks, New Found Glory have officially announced their nineth studio album. This new LP, with the title "Makes Me Sick", will be available April 28 via Hopeless Records, almost three years after the release of "Resurrection".

bvdub is Brock Van Wey, a native of the San Francisco Bay Area. Devoting his life to the SF rave scene in the late 80's, he began to DJ and promote his own deep house and ambient events in 1991, rising 10 years before a self-imposed exile to China in 2001 to escape the state of a scene he could no longer accept. He began to produce his own music in 2006, first releasing in 2007 on Night Drive Music. Soon after, his overtly emotional sound spread to Styrax, Millions of Moments, Southern Outpost, and Meanwhile, before a natural and gradual shift to his trademark ambient onslaughts saw him call n5MD, Glacial Movements, AY, Darla, echospace [detroit], Kompakt, his own Quietus Recordings, and many more home. Now returned to his hometown, he has continued his prolific output, with a string of self-released CD and digital-only releases, a monolithic rework of Vortexual [element seven] for echopace [detroit], and his newest, most wistful and hypnotic work yet - his return to Glacial Movements, with Epilogues for the End of the Sky.

Sultry Texas vocals lead the listener through rockin', swingin', bluesy slices of life that everyone can relate to.

Here is the 2011 self-released album from Sun King titled 'The Elephant Upstairs'. Sun King was founded by singer & guitarist Andrew Seminara and drummer Fred Carleton in 2005. The two musicians and childhood friends had been playing out together with various bands around the Cape Cod and Greater Boston area since 2000.

Pepe Romero has played the guitar for as long as he can remember, debuting at the age of seven. His father was the legendary guitarist Celedonio Romero and was his only teacher. Along with his father and brothers Celin and Angel, Romero formed the Romeros Quartet, and riding on the heels of Celedonio's celebrity in Spain, embarked on an international career that made them the most famous guitar ensemble in the world.

Letter to Annette, Right For You and eight more. It's comforting to know that melodic rock and roll is still alive and kicking in the US of A. Washington, DC guitarist/songwriter Mike Shupp is deft with the straightahead country-inflected pop-rock that the likes of Paul Westerberg, Bruce Springsteen, Steve Forbert and Neil Young are renowned for. Shupp's debut album is an appealing peek into his world and his personal perspectives on relationships (Up To Me), trends (Into It) heartbreak (Easier Now) and well, relationships (Prove Me Wrong).

Boston's Jiggle The Handle is led by guitar phenom and vocalist Gary Backstrom. With a blues rock sound at its core, Jiggle's uncanny ability to incorporate soulful disco into songs like "Fine Line," Allman Brothers-inspired groove-rock into "Finally," and reggae into "Slow Down," makes it impossible to slap-shot the band into a readymade category. Even African melodies and percussion slip in and out of Jiggle's sound.

Human Feel's sophomore album, Scatter, is filled with tremendous and passionately performed avant jazz, but its importance comes mainly from being the first widely available CD (thanks to Gunther Schuller's GM Recordings label) featuring then-newcomers Kurt Rosenwinkel (guitar), Chris Speed (tenor sax), Andrew D'Angelo (alto sax), and Jim Black (drums). The presence of bassist Joe Fitzgerald is also noteworthy for a couple of reasons: he's a highly skilled and expressive player here (as he would also prove years later in Ballin' the Jack, and he left Human Feel after this CD and was not replaced.

A six-song EP released while fans waited (and waited) for the Gigolo Aunts to follow up Flippin' Out, Learn to Play Guitar features some of the band's finest work. The unforgettable lead track, "Kinda Girl," is guitar-driven power-pop at its best, featuring clever lyrics and infectious hooks, while "Wishing You the Worst" is a resentful and melancholy ballad reminiscent of Grand Prix-era Teenage Fanclub.
