The mastermind of Kool&Klean series, producer and contemporary saxophonist Konstantin Klashtorni keeps producing smooth tracks for Chillaxing Jazz KolleKtion. Guild of Ages roots extend all the way back to 1989. The band was named Caught in the Act and they played every battle of the bands, benefit show or backyard party they could. The band quickly rose among the ranks of the most popular bands on the Denver rock scene. Caught in the Act was sued by a Scandinavian boyband with the same name. Guild of Ages was reborn in 1998, toured Europe that year with Axe, released three more studio CD's (One, Vox Dominatas, Citadel) and one live CD (Live Over Germany). The band parted ways in 2002. In August of 2014, GOA was asked to reunite and play a festival show in Nottingham, England. Firefest: The Final Fling! The band agreed to play the show. The band had a number of 'warm up' shows lined up to help get back into the groove known as Guild of Ages. It was evident that the band still had chemistry and sounded as if they had never split.

13 heartfelt songs exploring the concepts of love and loss, life and death, time and space. Influenced by the sounds of 80's bands like Tears for Fears and A-Ha, 70's prog from The Doors and Pink Floyd as well as such staples as the Beach Boys and the Beatles, 'A Waste of Time & Space' also takes cues from the 60's race for space, Geoffrey Household's 1939 thriller 'Rogue Male' and the Large Hadron Collider. Although a couple of the songs were written over 20 years ago, the majority of 'A Waste of Time & Space' was recorded and mixed at Radiogram in Bath, UK between April 2016 and June 2018 by duo Jon Birch and Si Bright. Listen out for sounds of the sitar, a volcano erupting, Sputnik's beep and the un-licenced use of a Marvel character.

8 years after "Fools Journey" the follow up "Brill" is finally out. And this time The New Grove Project hit the big drums. In best Scandinavian progressive manner we get 7 tracks of good music, ending with the 24 minute title track. The mind goes to The Flower Kings & IQ as well as hints of Änglagård, to mention a few. Swedish progressive rock in the vein of The Flower Kings or Änglagård.

Bill Perkins was a saxophonist and flutist popular on the West Coast jazz scene, known primarily as a tenor saxophonist. Born in San Francisco, California, Perkins started out performing in the big bands of Woody Herman and Jerry Wald. He also worked for the Stan Kenton orchestra, which subsequently led to his entry into the cool jazz idiom. He began performing with musicians like Art Pepper and Bud Shank, to name just a few. He was also a member of The Tonight Show band from 19701992. He is probably most remembered, however, for playing tenor for The Lighthouse All-Stars.
