Georges Delerue's score to the cult favorite Joe Versus the Volcano beautifully captures the film's complicated mélange of romance, comedy, and suspense. His melodies are light but dramatic, bursting with spontaneity and invention. The "Love Theme" that weaves its way in and out of the onscreen narrative ranks among Delerue's most passionate and memorable pieces, its epic sweep articulated by outsized orchestration. Even more impressive is the climactic "The Storm and the Rescue," a glorious eruption of trombone, strings, and timpani.

One of Finland's most famous prog rock bands. Founded in spring 1969 by guitarist Jukka Tolonen and drummer Vesa Aaltonen. Other members of the band came from Blues Section that had recently split up: bassist Måns Groundstroem and singer Frank Robson. Tasavallan Presidentti released their debut album in 1969. They toured in Sweden and England in the early 1970s and released three more albums but split up in 1974….

He pioneered the soul music genre during the 1950s by combining blues, rhythm and blues, and gospel styles into the music he recorded for Atlantic Records. He also contributed to the integration of country music, rhythm and blues, and pop music during the 1960s with his crossover success on ABC Records, most notably with his two Modern Sounds albums. While he was with ABC, Charles became one of the first black musicians to be granted artistic control by a mainstream record company.

The Ophelias are an American rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio. The group first met at a time when each were independently serving as the “token girl” in various male-fronted bands from their hometown. "Coming from varied musical backgrounds (ranging from garage-rock, to surf, to opera), the distinct talents and influences of each member collided in unexpected ways at the band’s first rehearsal. It was here the band discovered that their chemistry wasn’t rooted in a shared musical reference point, but in the creative relief from the expected censorship of being a sideperson."

Renaissance Man Cory Weeds has the Midas Touch. Since attaining Vancouver-local escape velocity with his Cellar Jazz Club and then his record label with the same imprint, the musical entrepreneur has parlayed his notice worldwide with excellent recordings of himself and other noted artists. Weeds' Cellar Jazz focus is what would be defined as an "Arbors Jazz for Hard Bop." He is very much the keeper of the flame of the last great jazz genre-period to grab the "mainstream" designation.

Aquest nou treball, tot i que inclou molts temes vocals, també hi ha molts instrumentals en on els cada vegada més nombrosos solistes de l’orquestra tenen la seva oportunitat de compartir la seva creativitat, la seva capacitat de generar un discurs propi.

Since the 2012 release of her debut album, 'The Aviary', singer-songwriter Ana Silvera's work has garnered broad acclaim from audiences and critics alike. Her uniquely ethereal brand of alt-folk has seen her perform at SXSW, Iceland Airwaves Festival, Liverpool Royal Philharmonic and more, whilst recent collaborations include composing for Royal Ballet, duetting with Imogen Heap and singing original songs with early music consort Concerto Caledonia.

During 1969 and 1970, CCR was dismissed by hipsters as a bubblegum pop band and the sniping had grown intolerable, at least to John Fogerty, who designed Pendulum as a rebuke to critics. He spent time polishing the production, bringing in keyboards, horns, even a vocal choir. His songs became self-consciously serious and tighter, working with the aesthetic of the rock underground – Pendulum was constructed as a proper album, contrasting dramatically with CCR's previous records, all throwbacks to joyous early rock records where covers sat nicely next to hits and overlooked gems tucked away at the end of the second side…
