The folks at Karisma Records have surprised everyone by, almost literally, pulling a rabbit out of their hat with the upcoming release from their new signing, Prog Folk Rockers Tusmorke, whose new album is very different indeed in both concept and guest artists. Titled "Bydyra", which translated means "Urban Wildlife", this will be the fifth full-length album from the Norwegians. What is surprising about it is that this is the first album that Tusmørke have written specifically for, and performed with, children. Coming in with a whopping 15 tracks, "Bydyra" is composed of two original mini musicals that were written specifically for a local children’s school in Oslo…

Also classic music and jazz, minimal music and edgy experimental sound scapes are part of the Squintaloo cosmos. If you get into the dead water of this musical work there is no escape. But it never becomes a maelstrom, the album leads the listener through dreamlike sequences.

BABYLON A.D. is one of the few hard rock bands from the late '80s/early '90s that are still operating with all of their original members: vocalist Derek Davis, guitarists John Matthews and Ron Freschi, drummer Jamey Pacheco and bassist Robb Reid. The group formed in 1987 and to celebrate its thirtieth anniversary, BABYLON A.D. will release a new album, "Revelation Highway", on November 10 via Frontiers Music Srl.
