Petula Clark, CBE (born Sally Olwen Clark, 15 November 1932) is an English singer, actress and composer whose career spans seven decades. Clark's professional career began as an entertainer on BBC Radio during World War II. During the 1950s she started recording in French and having international success in both French and English, with such songs as "The Little Shoemaker", "Baby Lover", "With All My Heart" and "Prends Mon Cœur". During the 1960s she became known globally for her popular upbeat hits, including "Downtown", "I Know a Place", "My Love", "A Sign of the Times", "I Couldn't Live Without Your Love", "Colour My World", "This Is My Song" and "Don't Sleep in the Subway", and she was dubbed "the First Lady of the British Invasion". She has sold more than 68 million records.

WARRIOR SOUL, the band fronted by legendary singer Kory Clarke, will release its new studio album, titled "Back On The Lash", on December 1 via Livewire/Cargo Records UK.

Third time around for Jess and the Ancient Ones sees them take a magical mystery trip to the dark side of the sixties as seen through the eyes of modern-day occult rock musicians. This time the band went for an organic and human approach and produced a very old fashioned album, 9 songs and 31 minutes, recorded and mixed together with their live sound engineer.

Percussionist Norman Hedman's medium-sized combo is well named; it plays an engaging blend of salsa, Latin jazz, bomba, samba, and just about any other warm-climate dance idiom you can think of. The flute occasionally has a hard time getting in tune with the brass but, other than that, the sound is lush, sweet, and gently, percolatingly funky – less a musical stew than a fruit salad. Hedman's influences include Cal Tjader and Armando Peraza, and while he also owes a clear debt to the big salsa bands, he deliberately avoids overwhelming the listener with too many layers of percussive polyrhythm.

Death metal veterans MORBID ANGEL will release their new album, "Kingdoms Disdained", on December 1 via UDR Music. Recorded at Mana Recording in St. Petersburg, Florida with producer — and former MORBID ANGEL guitarist — Erik Rutan, the LP marks the band's first release with drummer Scott Fuller (ANNIHILATED, ex-ABYSMAL DAWN) who joined MORBID ANGEL last year following the departure of Tim Yeung. It is also be MORBID ANGEL's first album to feature bassist/vocalist Steve Tucker since 2003's "Heretic".

Blue Feather was a Dutch band, which accomplished international recognition with their hit single 'Let's Funk Tonight', a strong funk track also featured on their first album entitled 'Feather Funk' from 1981 on Mercury Records. The first album was an organic mix of jazz, fusion and funk, unlike the second LP 'Shadows Of The Night' (originally released in 1985) which is leaning more to the synthetic sound which was popular at the time. Both albums are hard to find, especially 'Shadows Of The Night', for which collectors pay top prices. Fortunately that isn't necessary anymore thanks to this wonderful re-issue…
