Concrete Jungle was a pop glam metal quartet hailing out of New York that released their only full length record in 1988. The independently produced, 12-track recording was released in the twilight of the glam and hair metal era of rock, and featured 12 tracks (one of them a cover of Jerry Lee Lewis' "Great Balls of Fire"). Produced by Max Norman, Roger Probert and Dan Muro, the album received rave reviews from KERRANG! magazine in early 1989, which propelled Wear and Tear to number 3 on the import charts in the UK. Just a generation ago, Heinrich von Biber's Rosary (or "Mystery") Sonatas were looked upon as ultra-rare repertoire, the sort of thing a Classical record collector would have to go out of his/her way to obtain on recordings. It appears that by now anyone who plays Baroque violin music to any degree of seriousness has had contact with Biber's sonatas, and there are no less than 20 complete or near complete recordings of Rosary Sonatas available.

Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival is one of the most prestigious jazz festivals in the world. It was held for the fifth time in 2009 and was participated by more than 1,000 artists involved in 200 programs and attracted more than 80,000 visitors during its three-day stretch (March 6, 7, 8).

Lascelles Perkins was one of the first stars of the Jamaican music scene. Studio One's leading balladeer and one of the most underrated singers from that time. Lascelles Perkins sang sentimental ballads and he scored massive local hits for Coxsone Dodd's Studio One label. Songs like 'Lonely Moments' and 'Together Forever' other big hits followed 'The Mighty Organ' song as a duet with Hortense Ellis, Alton Ellis' sister, 'Destiny' and a whole catalogue of standards or foreign songs as they were called. Lascelles could sing any song, make it seem effortless and at the same time address it in his own unique style.
