The success of Trini Lopez's live debut, Trini Lopez at PJ's, ensured that the formula would be repeated with the release of More Trini Lopez at PJ's a few months later. The album was another success, barely missing the Top Ten on the album charts, and giving Lopez a second hit single with his hard-rocking performance of "Kansas City." The album was as varied as the debut, offering Latin-tinged, good-time renditions of folk, country, and rock & roll songs, standards, and even an original composition ("Yeah"). Less folk-oriented than the first album in terms of repertoire but no less entertaining, More Trini Lopez at PJ's rivals Lopez's debut in overall quality despite its more modest chart placement.

Executed flawlessly and recorded with crystal clear presence, the eight tracks that make up this album present Airto at his most diverse. Vocalist Ruben Rada makes both “Meni Devol” and “La Tumbadora” come to life with falsetto forays that soar above Airto's complex and organic groundwork. Furthermore, the percussive battery is supported additionally by masters Manolo Badrena and Laudir de Oliveira (a member of the pop group Chicago at the time). As an added bonus, the late Jaco Pastorius contributes a typically fine lead voice to the dark and brooding “Nativity”.

Calling All Mothers is the NRG Ensemble's first album with saxophonist Ken Vandermark taking the place of late group founder Hal Russell, but one wouldn't know just by listening, as the group sounds confident and very much together here. Featuring three tunes apiece by Russell, Vandermark, and saxophonist Mars Williams, plus one by percussionist Steve Hunt and one collective improvisation, the album has a nice element of diversity, yet it still coheres well…

Suspiria is a soundtrack album by Radiohead singer Thom Yorke, written for the 2018 horror film Suspiria. It is Yorke's third solo album and first feature film soundtrack, and will be released on 26 October 2018 by XL Records. It is a double album and incorporates instrumental tracks, interludes, and songs.

Now we're cooking: disc one, featuring all A-sides, is sheer, glorious overkill (as soon as the so-so "Louie, Louie" opener finishes).
