Released in 1981, Breakin' Away is not only a great follow-up to This Time, it all but perfected the effort. With an amazing batch of songs, producer/artist chemistry, and top-level players, Breakin' Away became the standard bearer of the L.A. pop and R&B sound. "Closer to Your Love" comes off as a tougher, more confident version of the songs from the previous album. However, in short order, Breakin' Away assumes its own identity with brilliant results. Everything works so well here that the hit, the pleasing "We're in This Love Together," comes off as the weak link. "Easy," with its gorgeous and subtle Latin flourishes, has Jarreau's purposeful delivery coming off oddly poignant in its joy and beauty. The bittersweet "My Old Friend" has him giving a charming and understated reading with gorgeous synth signatures that speak volumes.

When in the summer of 2017, Mariusz Duda was finishing the fifth studio album of his solo project, Lunatic Soul, he had already known that it would have a supplement. It was supposed to be a mini album complementing the music journey he had embarked on while creating "Fractured". Soon it turned out that working on a few ideas he had put aside absorbed him so much that, as a result, we are getting a brand new Lunatic Soul album called "Under the Fragmented Sky" mere months after the previous one and exactly 10 years after the project's debut release.

Los Lobos is an American rock band from East Los Angeles, California, United States. Their music is influenced by rock and roll, Tex-Mex, country, zydeco, folk, R&B, blues, brown-eyed soul, and traditional music such as cumbia, boleros and norteños. The band gained international stardom in 1987, when their cover version of Ritchie Valens' "La Bamba" topped the charts in the U.S., the UK and several other countries. In 2015, they were nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Al di Meola, who in his early days sometimes sacrificed feeling for speed (he always had remarkable technique), grew and developed through the years. His final of three Manhattan releases is his finest, a sextet outing with keyboardist Kei Akagi, electric bassist Anthony Jackson, acoustic bassist Harvie Swartz, drummer Tommy Brechtlein, and his longtime percussionist, Mino Cinelu. Having grown out of his fusion roots, di Meola's interest in world music and folk music from other countries is displayed throughout this colorful set, particularly on such numbers as "Beijing Demons," "Song to the Pharoah Kings," and the exciting "Rhapsody of Fire."

Adopted at the age of two weeks old, singer/songwriter Mark Schultz grew up in Colby, KS. Although he enjoyed great success in high school sports such as track and football, Schultz' musical talents outshone his athletic strengths. He soon moved to Nashville; however, instead of fulfilling his aspirations of a career in music, Schultz ended up in youth ministry. His position as a youth leader at First Presbyterian Church served to inspire the young songwriter, causing him to write songs about people in the congregation. Weekly concerts featuring Schultz drew crowds. After continued concerts, including a benefit concert he organized at the Ryman Auditorium, Schultz signed with Myrrh Records and released his self-titled debut album in 2000.

With this recording, Al di Meola thankfully left behind the pop-fusion sound that he had perfected with Jan Hammer. This was his first venture using the Roland guitar synthesizer and a drum machine. The technology used on this recording sounds dated, but the intent seems genuine. Jan Hammer's Miami Vice sound can be heard throughout, especially on "Sequencer"; di Meola places more emphasis on composition and production than on his famous technique.

AC/DC underwent several line-up changes before releasing their first album, High Voltage, in 1975. Membership subsequently stabilised until Cliff Williams replaced Mark Evans as bassist in 1977 for the album Powerage. In February 1980, a few months after recording the album Highway to Hell, lead singer and co-songwriter Bon Scott died of "acute alcohol poisoning". The group considered disbanding but stayed together, bringing in Brian Johnson as replacement for Scott. Later that year, the band released their first album with Johnson, Back in Black, which they dedicated to Scott's memory. The album launched them to new heights of success and became their all-time best-seller.

Australian opera singer Mark Vincent is a teenage tenor who rose to fame in 2009 as the winner of the television reality show Australia's Got Talent. Born on September 4, 1993, in Caringbah, New South Wales, Australia, he was only 15 years old at the time of his first-place finish on Australia's Got Talent on April 22, 2009. Inspired by classical crossover opera superstars Andrea Bocelli and Luciano Pavarotti, Vincent was offered a recording deal with Sony Music in the immediate aftermath of his first-place finish and made his full-length album debut several months later with My Dream – Mio Visione. A mix of classical crossover ("Nessun Dorma," a song he performed memorably on the season finale of Australia's Got Talent; "Time to Say Goodbye") and pop standards ("My Way," "Unchained Melody"), My Dream – Mio Visione was a big hit, reaching number two on the Australian albums chart.

David Campbell grew up in the suburbs of Adelaide, Australia. His grandmother Joan, who raised him, often played recordings of Nat King Cole and Johnny Mathis during his formative years. His interest piqued, Campbell soon fell in love with entertainers like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, among other "old-school" greats. He first won major roles in the mid-'90s at the Stables Theatre in Sydney, and was soon nominated for an MO Award for Best Musical Theatre Performer. His debut solo record, Yesterday Is Now, was released in 1997, catching the attention of fans and critics far and wide. Noted critics in New York were calling Campbell "the best young crooner on earth." Following a stint on Broadway in 2001, Campbell decided to follow in his famous father's (Jimmy Barnes) footsteps, and move over to rock & roll. He spent the next few years playing bars instead of concert halls, backed by a rock band rather than an orchestra. In 2006, Campbell changed directions yet again, recording The Swing Sessions, a tribute to his jazz-era heroes, produced by Chong Lim. During that same year, he won the Helpmann Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his role in Sunset Boulevard. For his next project, Campbell aspired to make a trilogy, beginning with The Sing Sessions and then tentatively followed by the albums Broadway and Hollywood.

Swedish death metal veterans UNLEASHED will release their 13th full-length album, "The Hunt For White Christ", on October 26 via Napalm Records.When it comes to Swedish death metal, the traditional Stockholm way and death metal per se, there is one band you have to mention: UNLEASHED! "The Hunt For White Christ" is the fourth album in the continued story line of the World of Odalheim and their Midgard warriors — a story authored by Johnny Hedlund himself, comprising of the past, present, and what Hedlund’s deems as the future of the Viking traditions and values. The album was recorded in the spring of 2018 at Chrome Studios, and does not simply mark the Swedes' 13th full-length album, it also solidifies the band's impact on history, paving the way to their 30th anniversary in 2019. Three decades of metal onslaught, and they have neither lost their bite, nor their love for pure death metal mayhem.

Nordic epic metal masters Sirenia have released a full album audio preview for their upcoming Arcane Astral Aeons release, out on October 26th via Napalm Records. Band leader Morten Veland about the artwork and the album: “ The album was recorded in Audio Avenue Studios (Norway), and Sound Suite Studios (France), while the mixing and mastering took place in Hansen Studios (Denmark) with mixing engineer Jacob Hansen.
