2012 collaboration between banjo virtuoso Bela Fleck and Jazz pianist Marcus Roberts and his trio. Roberts' Trio is known for its virtuosic style: a style that is strongly rhythmic, melodic, and filled with dynamic contrast. Fleck is often considered the premier banjo player in the world. He has virtually reinvented the image and the sound of the banjo through a remarkable performing and recording career that has taken him all over the musical map and on a range of solo projects and collaborations.

Hard rock duo Northward formed in 2007, but it took over a decade for the group to release any music. Dutch vocalist Floor Jansen, of Nightwish, and Norwegian guitarist Jørn Viggo Lofstad, of Pagan's Mind, met at the 2007 "All Star Jam" at the Progpower USA Festival. After playing a few covers on stage together the duo detected a creative spark, which in 2008 led them to write enough songs to fill an album. Both Jansen and Lofstad found commitments to their respective bands left little time in their schedules for their extracurricular project Northward, so the material lay dormant for the next nine years. The duo reconnected in 2017 and began to record what they had started all those years ago. They worked with producer Jacob Hansen (Volbeat) on the album, which was a hard rock counter to the metal music they made with their bands. Their self-titled record was released by Nuclear Blast in 2018.

U2 are an Irish rock band from Dublin formed in 1976. The group consists of Bono (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), the Edge (lead guitar, keyboards, and backing vocals), Adam Clayton (bass guitar), and Larry Mullen Jr. (drums and percussion). Initially rooted in post-punk, U2's musical style has evolved throughout their career, yet has maintained an anthemic sound built on Bono's expressive vocals and the Edge's effects-based guitar textures. Hurdy Gurdy's early-'70s self-titled album is period hard rock with substantial blues-rock influence and some hangover from the psychedelic era. Although Claus Bohling was a virtuosic guitarist (he also plays harmonica and sitar on the record), there's not too much to the songs, which are mostly vehicles for the power trio to spin off riffs owing much to the high-volume wattage of late-'60s Cream, British blues-rock, and particularly Jimi Hendrix…

'Sinister Downfall' is a German Funeral Doom Band of the sole founder and only band member Eugen Kohl, who himself is mainly active in the field of black metal (his projects include Donarhall, Nihilisticon and others) and heavy doom metal (Death Carrier). Eugen is responsible for the entire songwriting and for all instruments. He is also doing the mixing and mastering of all his work. Since the founding of Sinister Downfall in 2016, an intensive phase of inspiration and collection of ideas followed, which resulted in the debut album 'Eremozoic'. The promising debut album of the German funeral doom band Sinister Downfall called "Eremozoic" devours you into its own world full of melancholic hymns and the sound of death of all life for 40 minutes.

The Swedish heavy metal templars, Hammerfall, today announce the 20 year anniversary reissue of their second album Legacy Of Kings as 2-CD/DVD boxset, which will be released on December 7th via Nuclear Blast. “The all-important second album. If the name Thibault Gomez is unfamiliar to you keep an eye out. Thibault and his quintet won the tenth Keep an Eye International Jazz Award which is awarded to outstanding young vocalists and instrumentalists from the USA, Europe and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Thibault began playing piano when he was just 7 years old and later enrolled in the jazz department of CRR de Chambery Annecy, later specialising in improvisation. He is active on the jazz scene, especially lately with his quintet. The quintet are: Robinson Khoury (Michel Becquet, Uptake, Francois Moutin, won the Jay Jay Johnson international prize for trombone and with his band won the Rezzo Focal Jazz a Vienne in 2014) on trombone, Pierre-Marie Lapprand (Live a la Source, MaDam RamDam, Mental Climbers), on saxophones Etienne Renard (Makafunk) on double bass and Benoit Joblot (Luise Volkmann) on drums.

Composers - Franz Danzi, Gioachino Rossini, Anton Reicha. "Biedermeier" - A term used of the culture of German-speaking Europe between the Treaty of Vienna (1815) and 1848, the year of revolutions. It is associated especially with southern Germany and with the Austria of Metternich, the architect of political stability in post-Napoleonic Europe. The term is borrowed from the name of a fictional schoolmaster created in the early 1850s by Ludwig Eichrodt.

15 years after, here are the Nemo “Présages” again, in a new re-recorded version, including a brand new 14 minutes epic track, “Le pire est avenir”.
Nemo's second album, Presages continues in the same vein as their debut, released the previous year in 2002. Nemo combine elements of symphonic prog, heavy rock and occasional jazzy moments into complex and inventive compositions with plenty of space for long instrumental sections between the French sung vocals.

“Beethoven’s five sonatas for piano and cello show in a nutshell the same evolution that the 32 piano sonatas show. You have this wonderful young lion Beethoven in the opus 5 sonatas, you have the opus 69, the A major, which stands in the middle of his life, and then you have these wonderful two works, opus 102, which are at the gates of the late style, the last phase. And these are in a way experimental works, but fully crystallized.”

The Tingvall Trio, led by pianist Martin Tingvall, are often compared to the legendary Esbjorn Svensson Trio (E.S.T.) due to the exuberant energy and clarity of their music, and because Martin is also Swedish. His trio partners are : Cuban bass-player Omar Rodriguez Calvo (who has worked with Roy Hargrove and Ramon Valle), and German drummer Jürgen Spiegel, who studied with Bill Stewart and Cindy Blackman. Martin was a student of Bobo Stenson. Recorded during their European tour, in autumn 2012, 78½ minutes of pure energy and invention, featuring tracks from their previous 4 albums.

Finnish hard rockers the Rasmus became stars at home with their 1996 debut album Peep, which earned them a gold record while the four members were still in their teens.
